Commercial and Recreational Vessel Designs
Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. has been in business for two decades, the principals having formed their company in 1993 to design a passenger vessel while still students in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department at the University of Michigan. This entrepreneurial spirit continued with the incorporation of Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (formerly FG Marine Design, Inc.) in 1995. The company has grown every year and has completed designs and provided construction support for all types of commercial vessels.
Our commercial vessel design portfolio includes passenger vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, barges, fishing boats, patrol boats and dredges. Additionally, Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. has developed conceptual designs for small tankships, cutters for the U.S. Coast Guard and dive boats for the U.S. Navy. Further, we have provided technical consulting and construction oversight for high speed ferries, submersibles, schooners, dry docks and ferry terminals. Anything that floats is fair game for our naval architects and marine engineers.
Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. also has a rich history designing recreational vessels. We have designed sailboats, trawlers, express cruisers, runabouts and center console powerboats. Although the majority of our pleasure boat experience focuses on 18 foot to 25 foot center console powerboats and 30 foot to 60 foot production displacement and fast trawlers, Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. has also developed conceptual designs for megayachts between 90 feet and 115 feet in length. Further, we have completed detail design for several yachts, including a 65 foot power catamaran, and a 90 foot motor yacht.
